DVD-Rental.ca has gone out of business, but we'll leave the review as is for posterity.
DVD-Rental.ca is a small company formed in May 2003 and stocking perhaps 3,000 titles divided into 18 genres. However, they do note they're willing to order titles which customers request. Their interface is very sparse, if functional. They're based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, and we've heard complaints that waiting times for shipment from the West to East coast are long.
As a plus, they do rent some 400 (aging) PS2 and Xbox games at the same tariff as their DVDs, unlike some companies which charge more for games. Nonetheless, they appear overpriced, compounded by a poor title range.
Likewise, their customer service reportedly has issues, with slow replies to email queries noted.
Prices: Their subscriptions are middle ground, 3 discs unlimited for $22.99, 4 DVDs for $24.99, 5 discs for $32.95, and 6 discs for $34.96. They have combo packages where you can rent games as well for 2 discs/games for $19.99, 3 DVDs/games for $24.99.
You can choose to be billed every three months and save 10%, six months for a 15% discount, or even a year for a whopping 25% discount.
