Living Well on the Cheap
In its article entitled “Living Well on the Cheap,” the UK's The Times Online recommends online DVD rental as cheap entertainment. They note “the price of DVD rental is coming down” and that if vigilant, you can free trial hop and continue to get a stream of DVDs through your letterbox.
We'd go further still--if you're on market leader Zip.ca's 3-disc out rental package, at $24.95 per month, and average only 3 films per week (with 4.2 weeks in the average month), you'd average out to just under $2 per disc.
You simply can't beat that kind of value.
Comments
Let's face it, other than zip, the rest of the dvd rental companies out there sound pretty small. At least i've never head them talked about among friends and suchlike zip.
So if you were to free trial hop and freeload, I'd think it would be best to start small and end up with zip. Personally don't think its worth the effort and these are pretty cheap to begin with.

I agree, not worth the hassle o freeloading, not when discs can be “delayed in the post” until after you're trial iis over then you end up paying. But even w/no free trial, zip is a pretty good deal.
I can get even better than one disc swap per week if I try, though not every week, maybe six swaps per month on average, depends on whn the wknds fall.
